04/05/2020 – A message from Owen: Practice Principal
As the unprecedented situation of COVID-19 continues to significantly affect our daily life, I’d like to take this opportunity to update you on our dental emergency procedures, your upcoming appointments and your dental team.
The guidance from the Welsh government and Chief Dental Officer is being updated almost daily, but the one thing that is clear is that dental practices are still currently unable to carry out any routine dentistry. Though this may be frustrating for you, I believe it is a sensible precaution for the time being. Your oral health still remains our upmost priority.
What happens if you have a dental emergency?
If you find yourself with a dental emergency, please call us at the practice on 029 2066 5566. We will be able to give advice, recommend analgesia and provide antibiotics when necessary.
In some instances we may arrange appointments to carry out remedial treatment as long as it doesn’t generate any aerosol. If we are unable to help we can refer you to the correct place for dental care should this be needed.
Do NOT turn up at the practice without first contacting us!
What if you had an upcoming appointment?
If you have an appointment booked you don’t need to do anything at this point. We are currently working hard to make contact with all patients that must be cancelled, one week in advance due to the uncertainty of when we can re-open.
Please be assured that once we are given the appropriate guidance to re-open, we will invite you back into our practice to carry out your oral health examination and/or treatment where clinically necessary as soon as possible.
We do hope you are also keeping well and, in the meantime, please do everything you can to keep yourselves and those around you safe and avoid any unnecessary risks.
We are looking forward to seeing you again soon and don’t forget, if you have any questions, please call our supportive team on 029 2066 5566 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
